Who can write a Will?

Anyone over the age of 18 is eligible to write a Will. Who isn’t eligible?

On most occasions, those under the age of 18 are not able to create a Will, unless, for example, they are in the armed services and set for active duty. This would be a situation to be discussed with a Solicitor in more detail.

Other factors that can prevent someone creating a Will include lacking mental capacity to do so, as well as temporarily lacking the mental capacity, such as if you are recovering from a serious head injury but the prognosis of recovery is good in the future.
