Audi Predicts The Future

Audi have announced that it’s hoping to make congestion and city centre navigation much easier to deal with thanks to intelligent technology being developed, which can essentially “predict the future”.

Named Audi Urban Intelligent Assist (AUIA), the system continually analyses the flow of traffic to anticipate the optimum route for you to take.

It is reported that the technology is so advanced that it updates in real time and will announce the perfect time to switch lanes or merge onto a motorway. It can even detect when you become distracted from the road and will redirect your attention back.

AUIA also incorporates Audi’s Traffic Light Online technology, which relays information from traffic lights to drivers so as to avoid being stopped by a red light. The system has already shown to improve traffic flow during tests in major cities.
